Kanarraville Falls 8-2-08

Last weekend, Craig and I hiked the Kanarraville Falls trail.

It was a gorgeous day - a little cloudy, but perfect for hiking.

We were a little worried it might rain since the trail runs through a few slot canyons and flash flooding was possible, but the weather stayed nice.

Aren't these slot canyons beautiful?

Here's the first set of falls - wobbly ladder made the climb a little precarious.

Around the corner from the first set of falls is this lovely little picnic area with small pond and two small water slide falls.

Not far beyond that is the second set of falls. The water was freezing!!

The hike was shady most of the way, perfect for a summer day :)

On the way back we saw these beautiful swallowtail butterflies bidding us adieu!

Here's a link to the full album.
